This website deliberately does without tracking. No cookies are set, no analytics or audience measurement services are integrated, no advertising networks are used and no profiles of visitors are created. Fonts are delivered from this server and are not loaded from Google Fonts, so your IP address is not transmitted to Google.

This processing is technically necessary for the operation and security of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, my legitimate interest in providing the website in a stable and secure manner. I have no influence on the storage period and scope of these logs. As GitHub also processes data in the USA, the transfer is based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and on GitHub's certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. If you use the contact form, the information you enter, that is name, email address, subject and message, is processed for the purpose of handling your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries in connection with possible employment, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The transmission takes place via the processor Web3Forms, which forwards the message to my email inbox. Your information is stored only for as long as is necessary to handle the enquiry and is deleted afterwards, unless statutory retention periods prevent this.
If the form is not technically configured, the button opens your own email program instead. In this case no data whatsoever is transmitted to me or to third parties before you send the message yourself. Alternatively, you can write to me directly at any time at luka.engels@outlook.de.
Note for the operator: as soon as the contact form is activated via Web3Forms, a data processing agreement should be concluded with the provider and the paragraph above confirmed accordingly. If the form is permanently not used, this section can be shortened to the mailto case.This website links to external profiles on LinkedIn and GitHub. Data is transferred to these providers only when you actively click such a link. No social media plugins are integrated that establish connections as soon as a page is accessed.
This website is available in German and in English. If you explicitly choose a language using the language switcher or the notice "Diese Seite gibt es auch auf Deutsch." ("This page is also available in German."), this choice is stored in your browser's local storage under the key "lang" with the value "de" or "en", so that on a later visit you receive the chosen language version directly. The information is stored exclusively on your device and is not transmitted to me or to third parties. Nothing is stored without your click; your browser's language setting is only read locally in order to display the notice about the German version.
The storage is strictly necessary to provide the function you have explicitly requested and therefore takes place without consent on the basis of § 25 (2) no. 2 TDDDG.
